Through advertisement number NPCIL/Main/HRM/ET/2023/04, NPCIL has declared the intent to recruit NPCIL Executive Trainee in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, and Civil disciplines based on valid GATE scores. Candidates will be selected based on valid GATE scores from 2022/2023/2024 and will be called for further processing.

Only candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 500/-. Applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen, and employees of NPCIL are exempt from paying this fee.
NPCIL Executive Trainee 2024 Eligibility Detail.

Importance of Document:

  1. The candidate should have completed the education with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized institute/college or institute with BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering)/5 years integrated M.Tech. The minimum marks are as per the directions of the respective institute/college.
  2. Candidates must have a valid GATE-2022, GATE-2023, or GATE-2024 score from the subject they are applying for.
  3. The description of eligible candidates for each subject is as follows:

  • Mechanical Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering.
  • Chemical Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Electro-chemical Engineering.
  • Electrical Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics.
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
  • Civil Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Note: For Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, the subjects such as ‘Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering’ and ‘Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering’ are included. Therefore, candidates applying for these subjects must have a valid GATE score in the relevant discipline.

 

Candidates holding a degree in ‘Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering’ can apply under ‘Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering’. However, such candidates must have a valid GATE score in either Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Candidates who wish to apply for multiple subjects must have a valid GATE score in each relevant subject. iv. Candidates who have completed their 5-year Integrated M.Tech program with a minimum of 60% marks and fulfill all the criteria can also apply. v. Only consideration will be given to the respective subjects mentioned above. Applications based on irrelevant subjects will not be considered. vi. Such candidates, who have taken the final examination and/or participated in the final semester examination during 2024, can also apply. However, if selected, they must submit their final document and scores (not less than 60%) by November 30, 2024, or earlier.

After successful completion of training, Executive Trainee will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C in Group ‘A’ as detailed below :
